I am quickly becoming behind on blog posts so I have nothing clever to say tonight. All I can say is: "Awwwww....how cute are they?" Meet Nick and Chloe (:
Prior to sessions, I send out a questionairre so that I can better capture what the parents are looking for. One of the questions is "What do you hope your children see when they look at these images?" These kids showed up to the loft with all of their fun bright "loft session" clothes but I had them change out of those and put on the simple white camis for this series because of something mom wrote. I knew I wanted a simple portrait that focused on just them. Here is what she wrote
"We’d like them to see how much joy there is in life and be reminded of what it means, where it is found, and how what you have has nothing to do with it. It should show in their faces that they loved one another and were loved by us."
I couldn't wait to process this series of images because I just knew there would be something like this...

Congrats to Hayden who graces the cover of this weeks Kids Trends Weekly. www.kidstrendsweekly.com Such a cool dude!
Ha ha. Couldn't you just pinch them? This is baby Spencer who was 4 weeks early believe it or not. I love meaty babies!!
And I can't forget Spencer's big bro....what beautiful eyes he has!!
I have gotten a great response-Thank You! I still need more kiddos to choose from (and I need them soon). Don't be shy (: I especially need:
-Hispanic, Middle Eastern or kids with caramel skin tones
-Kids with very very dark skin (I have many medium to light skinned African American kids interested but not many dark skinned kids)
-Asian, Hawaiaan or of Polynesian descent kiddos
-some long blond haired boys
I am looking for school age/tween children (roughly ages 8-13) for an upcoming art gallery project. I am looking for a group of ethnically diverse children with distinct and different characteristics including (but not limited to)
-very dark skin, very pale skin, red hair, asian features, lots of freckles, very curly hair, very straight hair, middle eastern features, native american features, etc.
The children must be mature and willing to take direction. The children will be given prints and/or any other art pieces that are deriven from this project in exchange for their time. The shoot(s) will take place in the next 6-8 weeks. For consideration, please email a snapshot of your child taken in good light along with their name, age and a brief description to:
eyesmilesphotography@yahoo.com Please put "Gallery Project" in the title of your email so it doesn't get overlooked.
