Wow
Prior to sessions, I send out a questionairre so that I can better capture what the parents are looking for. One of the questions is "What do you hope your children see when they look at these images?" These kids showed up to the loft with all of their fun bright "loft session" clothes but I had them change out of those and put on the simple white camis for this series because of something mom wrote. I knew I wanted a simple portrait that focused on just them. Here is what she wrote
"We’d like them to see how much joy there is in life and be reminded of what it means, where it is found, and how what you have has nothing to do with it. It should show in their faces that they loved one another and were loved by us."
I couldn't wait to process this series of images because I just knew there would be something like this...

I'd say you nailed it! This is like getting dessert before dinner - can't wait for the rest!

What an incredible response to one of your pre-session questions.
The beautifully captured picture reflects the obvious 'heaps of love' that these lucky Young Leaders of Tomorrow receive at home.

Wow! It's perfect. Simple. Joy. Love. Each other. If I were that mom I would feel that you perfectly captured the sentiments and emotion that every mom wants to remember. Less is more. We can all use a little bit more of that in our lives. Thanks for reminding us that the beauty of our love is within each other...not in our surroundings, not in our possessions, not in our bank account. The photo is very sweet. Nice job...as always.

Ohh Laura how wonderful! What a terrific client too! I think that is every parent's sentiment, isn't it? To bring up their children to know that life isn't about what you have, but what you do with what you're given. Gorgeous image. Love their obvious love and connection to each other here. And love your work, as always! :)
